She collects only the information necessary for intake, never records full legal details without consent, and routes sensitive information securely to your intake team rather than storing it in a general inbox. All data is encrypted and stored on Canadian infrastructure. We recommend reviewing our Data Processing Agreement with your firm's privacy counsel.
Can Ava route calls by practice area — family, criminal, real estate?
Yes. You configure your practice areas and attorney profiles in AVADesk. Ava asks a few qualifying questions to determine the matter type and routes accordingly. For firms with duty counsel or general intake coordinators, you can route all calls there first and let your team triage.
How does conflict check preparation work?
When a prospective client calls, Ava can be configured to collect the opposing party's name before booking a consultation. This information is routed to your intake team so a conflict check can be run before the slot is confirmed. The consultation is tentatively booked but flagged as pending conflict clearance.
Can Ava answer questions about fees and retainers?
Ava can provide general information — like whether your firm offers free initial consultations, your typical retainer range for a practice area, or hourly rate brackets — if you configure this in your knowledge base. She won't provide specific fee quotes, as those require attorney assessment of the matter.
